From time to time, I manage to put together the odd recipe that seems to excel in the awesome taste department. My job here is to ensure you as home brewers can share in that awesomeness. This page will act as a general go-to point for all the recipes I’ve posted… just in case they become hard to find.
When I put together my recipes, I like to try and make the reader imagine they were in my head as I put the recipe together. This way you don’t just simply get a recipe and brew it, but you can continue to evolve on my thought process and make the recipe your own. There are few recipes I build which are simply trial and error, and many things I do with my beer are done deliberately, if anything, for experimentation. Isn’t that what homebrew is all about?
An example of how I may bring you into the recipe might be talking about how I chose to use honey and CaraMunich III malt to try and achieve a candy like flavour in an IPA to not only balance the bitterness, but enhance the overall drinking experience. A descriptor such as “enhance drinking experience” may simply mean that I managed to make the beer more drinkable. When it came to this IPA recipe, the ABV was around 6.5%, but is as palpable as a nice 5% beer. I may also refer to this as a dangerous beer because of that.
Feel free to look through and swipe some of these recipes, and I also encourage discussion on the recipes. If you brewed it, let me know. If you improved it, share! I’d love to get your input.
